What is a Farm Share?

A Farm Share, commonly referred to as Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), is a farming model where members pay upfront and to secure a share of the harvest throughout the growing season. Farm share programs typically begin in the spring and often last through the fall. Some farms will offer a full season programs, while other farms might offer shorter CSA’s throughout the growing season. At Full Swing we offer a twelve week Spring/Summer CSA and a twelve week Fall CSA. This gives us a chance to reset the farm mid season.

Why buy into the farm?

There are so many brilliant reasons to join a farm share program. By purchasing a share you’re supporting a small business, supporting ecologically sound farming practices, learning to eat seasonally, shortening the supply chain, strengthening local food systems and building community resilience. Also, it’s fun! A special package each week curated just for you! You can expect to receive vegetables and herbs you might not be familiar with and you may be inspired to try out something new in the kitchen. It’s ideal for anyone looking to broaden their culinary horizons and incorporate new veggies into their diet.

What can I expect to receive in my box?

Each week members can expect to receive 6-8 vegetables in their share. Throughout the season we grow about 50 varieties of vegetables and we try our best to make sure our boxes reflect this diversity. That said, sometimes we have abundance of one crop, while another might not be providing the yield we’d hoped for. Listed below are some of the items you can expect to receive throughout the growing season.
